The VIF provides philanthropic support to key educational, economic development, and career development resources. The VIF also provides access to important information technology and software systems in order for students and companies to be competitive in today’s economy. Specifically, the VIF provides support to the Manufacturing Skills Institute (MSI), the Women in Manufacturing – Virginia Chapter, and access to the entire suite of Microsoft cloud-based software solutions. Finally, the VIF supports critical research into issues of economic development competitiveness.
To provide scientific educational information; compose, publish, and disseminate information and standards designed to advance industry and specific education; recognize industrial, scientific, educational, workplace, and environmental achievements; support technology intensive industry research and development; and serve as a central scientific, educational, and charitable resource for industry and the public.
